Meet Sarah Clark

Welcome to 525 Clark Street - the cyber-home for my day-to-day discoveries in all things improvement:
home, health, and life as a young(er) adult.

On the cusp of the "1/3 life crisis," you know, the one convieniently located between quarter and mid life crises, I feel like I've finally woken up and started living.

I've taken a hard look in the mirror and corrected my priorities: God (Spirit), Marriage & Family, Health, Work, Friends and everything else - using the principal of Five Balls:

"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them - Work - Family - Health - Friends - Spirit, and you're keeping all of these in the air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls -- family, health, friends and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered." -James Patterson

My husband, Tim, and I are raising a young family and enjoy speding time with our family and friends, staying fit, eating well and taking on home improvement projects.

We have taken control of our finances - that sounds better when you say it definitively, though it will always be a work in progress.  We work together with some fantastic methodology and software which makes it (almost) fun.

We have taken control of our health, which continues to be a fun and rewarding journey.  We eliminated processed foods from our diet, made exercise a part of our daily lives (CrossFit, walks with the family, yoga) and we have some fantastic hacks how to plan and cook meals from scratch.

And for my next challenge: Heading full-steam ahead into a side hustle of freelance writing.  Who knows, maybe that could lead to a career change. (Let's do this, rubber ball.)

Who knows what the future holds, but I am blessed to have yet another day with my family to live, enjoy it, and get better.
